The Patriotic Advocacy Network, Sierra Leone is built upon the solid rock of these ten (10) pillars. Which are:
01. Patriorism
PAN defines PATRIOTISM as the genuine love for one’s country herein referred to as Sierra Leone. Patriotism is the crux in PAN. Patriotism serves as the strongest foundation of the ideals of PAN. It is the sacred pillar that binds the organization; which shall be up kept, respected, maintained and sustained at all time. PAN members are shrouded with title of “patriot”. #ActLikeAPatriot.
02. Unity in Diversity
This pillar resonates with our motto of PAN: “together we can achieve”. Without any form of discrimination, PAN encourages and accommodates different groups, cultures, skills, ethnicities, tribes, political affiliations, religions, professions and characters. The ultimate goal is for us to come together in unity, peace and harmony; support one another and transform Sierra Leone into an earthly paradise.
03.Dignity in Pursuit
In our pursuit to command positive change in Sierra Leone, we shall upkeep the quality of being worthy of self-esteem, dignity and respect. We shall sincerely believe in our ideals and shall not mortgage our integrity for anything whatsoever.
04. Loyalty to Course
This pillar resonates with our slogan “fidelity to all”. Patriots in PAN shall imbibed a strong commitment and dedication towards the day-to-day course in PAN. Selflessly, they should support and promote the ideals of PAN.
05. More than Just an Organisation
PAN is considered as one big family, wherein we live as one in harmony, love and respect. We create room to support, help and develop one another. This makes PAN to be more than just an organization but a big family.
06. Communal Responsibility
In PAN, there is a collective responsibility for which everyone lives and works together to achieve the organization’s ultimate goal. The pain of a member in PAN is the pain of all and sundry. The happiness of one member in PAN- is the happiness of all as well.
07. Willingness to Learn
As patriots we must always willing to listen prudently and learn carefully. The urge to learn, do research, and unravel new things shall be our utmost priority. And our prowess in academia, skills, profession coupled with the art of sharing knowledge shall be innate in our daily action.
08. Respect for Spirituality
There shall be mammoth respect and appreciation for religious values and beliefs. In all endeavors, PAN shall put God first.
09. Self-Determination & Self-Identification
Patriots in PAN must always answer the following questions: who are you? What do you want to achieve in life? What do you want to become in life? Have you identified your talents/skills? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What Value can you add to our course, how can PAN support you?
10. Willingness to Learn
As John C. Maxwell put it, you must “give up in order to go up”. The true ideals of PAN require sacrifices. You will have to sacrifice your life, money, time, energy, resources and many more. Sierra Leone The task in PAN is always daunting.
